Montgomery County is seeing a downward trend of serious and deadly crashes, according to a county report released Monday. As of November, there were 508 reported traffic fatalities, while there were 561 reported fatalities this time last year. [WTOP

Recent rainfall temporarily mitigates fire danger, state lifts outdoor burning ban 

After the Maryland Department of Natural Resources implemented a ban on open-air burning on Nov. 1 due to dry conditions, the ban was lifted Nov. 21. The recent rainfall mitigated fire danger temporarily, but the state is still experiencing drought conditions. [Montgomery County Media]  

Montgomery Parks opens six new pickleball courts in Silver Spring 

East Norbeck Local Park in Silver Spring now had a total of 18 pickleball courts after six new courts opened Nov. 13. Other parks across the county also received pickleball-related improvements. [DC News Now
