A property that emulates a Scottish Castle is on the market in Chevy Chase.

Built in 1927, the Scottish Tudor Castle Gatehouse, a 4,600 square-foot home at 3207 Woodbine St., used to be  adjacent to a Scottish castle-like building  The castle itself was demolished in the 1950s, but the turreted gatehouse still stands.

The gatehouse is listed by Washington Fine Properties for $1.875 million.

The property is now named Rossdhu Gate, which references rich Scottish history including properties that overlook Loch Ness in Scotland.

The home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and two half bathrooms. Its roots to medieval times and Scottish history are evident throughout. One of those examples is in the kitchen, where old crests and shields are designed on the cabinets, windows and drawers.

Inside the gatehouse is a four-story spiral staircase. Outside is a balcony overlooking a large fountain and courtyard, as well as a small pond and a rooftop deck.

Other features inside include a library, office spaces and large doorways.
