Police Blotter: Theft from Vehicle Suspects Arrested; Strong-Arm Robbery in South Silver Spring

The following crimes were reported to Montgomery County and Rockville police Aug. 3-9

Kensington

Three arrests in theft from vehicles

In the early morning hours of Aug. 3, police arrested a 24-year-old Washington, D.C., man and a 31-year-old Gaithersburg man for stealing items from cars in the 10000 block of East Bexhill Drive. According to police, the men were found with more than $100 worth of loose change from the vehicles.

In the early morning hours of Aug. 8, police arrested a 43-year-old Kensington man for thefts from vehicles in the area of Dresden Street and Summit Avenue.

Bethesda

Residential burglaries near Washington, D.C., line

At about 7:36 a.m. Aug. 5, a black male suspect age 50 to 59 stole property from a home in the 4600 block of Harrison Street. Police say the same suspect entered a house in the 4700 block of Crescent Street at about 12:35 p.m. but no property was taken.

Strong-arm robbery near East West Highway

Two suspects, one a man and one a woman, assaulted a woman in the area of East West Highway and West Falkland Lane and took her cash. The incident happened in the early morning hours of Aug. 9.

Chevy Chase

Home burglary on Leland Street

Property was stolen from a home in the 4300 block of Leland Street between 5 p.m. Aug. 8 and 8 a.m. Aug. 9. There was no forced entry.

Rockville

Cell phone and headphones stolen from unlocked vehicle

An unknown subject stole the gear from a vehicle in the 1500 block of Kimblewick Road sometime between 9 p.m. Aug. 4 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 5.
