Police Blotter: Robbery at Grocery Store; Burglary at Pizza Shop

Robbery at Harris Teeter

Police said two male suspects approached the victim and took property from him in the parking lot of the Harris Teeter grocery store at 5411 McGrath Blvd. The incident happened at 6:50 p.m. on July 25.

Bethesda

Pizza shop burglary

Someone stole cash from the &Pizza at 7614 Old Georgetown Road. Police said the burglary happened between 11:26 a.m. on Thursday, July 23 and 12:06 p.m. on Friday, July 24. There was no forced entry.

Residential burglary on Dickens Avenue

Police said someone burglarized a home in the 9900 block of Dickens Avenue between 6:36 a.m. and 7:54 a.m. on July 23.

Hampden Lane arrests

Police said two 20-year-old men from Washington, D.C., were arrested for a home burglary in the 7000 block of Hampden Lane on July 22.

String of thefts from vehicles

Five thefts from vehicles happened between July 26 and July 28 in vehicles on Stanford Street, Ridgewood Avenue, Meadow Lane and Woodbine Street.

Home burglary

Property was taken from a home in the 9200 block of Levelle Drive between 8:15 a.m. and 5 p.m. on July 28.

Rockville

Attempted bank robbery

Police arrested 55-year-old Tony Linn Smith for the July 25 attempted robbery of the M&T Bank at 51 Edmonston Drive. Police said Smith went inside, implied he had a gun and demanded money, but left with no cash. Police said Smith also robbed a Silver Spring bank on July 23.
