Upper Montgomery Assistance Network
Upper Montgomery Assistance Network provides emergency financial assistance and social service referrals to 700 families a year living up-county who are facing eviction, a utility cutoff or other emergency.
UMAN is often the first stop for families in crisis because of an unexpected health emergency, car repair, loss of work or other significant family expense.

What a donation buys:
• $250 covers emergency utility assistance for one family.
• $1,000 helps a family pay rent in a month when other expenses take the family income.
• $10,000 helps UMAN increase the hours of its one part-time paid staff person.
Volunteer opportunities: (SSL)
• One day: Participate in or help organize a mini-walkathon benefiting UMAN.
• Weekly: Get trained to take calls from local residents seeking emergency financial assistance.
