Why are you running for this office?
Because I want to see the United States get on par with Europe for workers rights, healthcare, education, help the environment and other progressive policies.
What is the most important issue in this race and what specific plans do you have to address it?
Medicare for all, people shouldn’t have to worry about the bill when going to get healthcare. Americans lack preventative care because it’s cost prohibiting.
What is one major issue that has been handled poorly and what would you have done differently?
Child care. The United States should give at least six months of paid parental leave and give universal pre-K
What experience (work, political or other) has prepared you to hold this office?
Being a common man who hasn’t grown up in wealth, I know how the average American feels.

Why are you running for this office?
I’m running for reelection to Congress because I remain passionately committed to defending constitutional democracy and freedom in America and equally passionate about ensuring government works for the people of Maryland’s 8th District.
As a member of the Select Committee on the Jan. 6 insurrection, I’m acting to fortify our democratic institutions against sabotage, and as chair of the Oversight Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Liberties, I’m defending basic rights and freedoms for millions of Americans.
What is the most important issue in this race and what specific plans do you have to address it?
My motto for my House office is that no job is too big or too small for us. Whether it is leading the impeachment of a dangerously corrupt president, finding a lost Social Security check for a retiree in Bethesda, increasing the NIH budget by billions or obtaining VA benefits for a veteran in Rockville, we act nimbly to get results for our people. My staff runs one of the most effective constituent service operations in Congress, and I use my constitutional knowledge and coalition-building experience every day to see America through the trials of our time.
What is one criticism you have received while in office and what is your response?
Our overarching challenge is to effectively confront the nightmarish effects of climate change, but we can’t do that when democracy itself is impaired by special interest control over the levers of political power.
To counter climate change, break from the carbon barons and unleash renewable energy technologies like solar and wind, we must redeem majority rule and America’s political institutions. This means reforming the filibuster, ending gerrymandering, protecting voting rights and dismantling state-based voter suppression tactics that form a matrix of democracy-repression.
What experience (work, political or other) has prepared you to hold this office?
In this hyper-partisan environment, I sometimes hear that I am not sufficiently bipartisan, which surprises my family, which teases me for being a middle child always seeking compromise, and my staff, which sees the bust of Lincoln on my desk and knows that 100+ of my bills passed with GOP support in Annapolis. I have formed strong relationships with constitutionalist GOP colleagues like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, and even created alliances with Trump Republicans, like Jim Jordan, on specific bills, such as the Press Act.

Twitter: https://twitter.com/collforcongress
Why are you running for this office?
Gregory Coll is very happy to announce his run for U.S. Congress Maryland District 8 to represent the people. Work in Washington is at a standstill, he wants to stop the distractions and keep focus on some of the key issues impacting Americans including: health care, jobs and employment, schools and education, climate and our environment, military and defense, gun violence, and the national space policy.
What is the most important issue in this race and what specific plans do you have to address it?
Recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic. Investing more in the National Institute of Health right here in Congressional District 8, providing the resources to the programs that would have reduced the death rates and financial impacts to the country and the world, and can help prevent future pandemics and impacts from biological warfare.
What is one major issue that has been handled poorly and what would you have done differently?
The way we pulled out of Afghanistan leaving military equipment, and unsupported individuals to fend for themselves against the Taliban. Gregory Coll would have had a slower progression of transition to the Afghan government and an organized departure with reach back support supplied to Afghanistan. Gregory Coll supports the Ukraine and wants to work on diplomatic solutions to stop the war and help the Ukraine recover from the devastation. He wants to hold Russia accountable for their actions in the region and supports NATO. He believes the U.S. needs a strong military with an emphasis on defense to combat growing threats domestically and abroad. Staying ahead in military technology is critical to maintaining U.S. global leadership and keeping our communities safe at home. Maryland is a leader in the field and has one of the largest defense contractors in District 8.
What experience (work, political or other) has prepared you to hold this office?
Gregory Coll is an experienced Republican candidate that won the primary election and was nominated for the general election for Representative in Congress for Maryland’s 8th Congressional District in 2020. He is currently working in the aerospace – defense field. He has served as a systems engineering team manager and systems engineering integrated team lead for military/civil communication networks domestically and with U.S. international allies including ground, space, and control segments. Been to six of seven continents minus Antartica. He served on the Liquid Propulsion Technical Committee of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics since 2013. He has connections with many members of Congress both senators and house representatives from Maryland, and other states. He has attended Congress and other related public hearings on capitol hill including Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee COMSTAC meetings.
Michael Yadeta
Where you live: Silver Spring
Date of birth: April 5, 1987
Current occupation and employer:
Michael Yadeta for Maryland Congress as Republican. We know you are essential part of our community in America and I want to take this opportunity to reach out to you for your support as we are heading to the Congressional primary election.
Top reasons why Michael Yadeta believes Republican policy for small business, believes in low taxes and more earning less government involvement.
Think about this. You do not want to be “working for your neighbor’s wife” (William Bradford, Plymouth Colony governor). Republicans believe small and big business translates to higher pay for you.
In a market economy businesses generate earnings that go into wages, retained earnings for investment and general wealth creation. Countries that lower taxes generally do better.
Republicans are pro-life, all babies are also. The economy usually grows under Republican administrations.
Republicans believe in faster process of legal immigration and oppose slow process illegal immigration. Your personal freedom is maximized, such as school choice over “public schools.”
I opened construction inspection training for drop-out and new legal immigrant. Public schools are producing generations of children that will learn multiple-choice tests, called standards. The home scholars and parochial schools are light years ahead. Republicans believe like George Washington did, that this republic needs religion and morals and unity to stay strong.
My family lived under communism, and the objective was to replace the divine with the state bureaucracy. It is freedom of religion not freedom from religion.
Republicans are closer to the ideals of the Constitution. The No. 1 reason many people vote GOP is, as imperfect as the GOP is, the alternative would destroy the American dream
Political experience:
According to State Department information, my country of origin has one of the longest relationships with United States since 1903.
For me as Black Ethiopian American, I will be the first if I get elected into the House of Representatives. I am sure I can close the gap between colors, Latinos and all citizens of America.
So it’s time to elect Ethiopian American Black Republican to office and I hope everyone will vote for Michael Yadeta Ethiopian.
As soon as I get elected I will create reconciliation among communit,y appoint God-fearing school board and good pay and high earning for all citizens. I will order expedited legal immigration backlogged documents for citizens to unite with their families.

Why are you running for this office?
I’m running because I am tired of politicians not doing what they promised their counties and states during campaign. I wanted to unite families of communities , reduce crime, create opportunities for everyone to reach me directly.
Tired of school policies for parents of children, and I propose any times of the day specially school choice and what to learn and not. I want to stop labral agenda of co-parenting your children.
Fear of God in the schools and stop teaching children gender confusion. Completely ban from all of my district. Help families to legally unite with their families through fast immigration process, increase funds for our farmers, produce more.
What is the most important issue in this race and what specific plans do you have to address it?
I will use God’s word to address race. We are all born of Adam and Eve, our color has nothing to do with it. We have to accommodate each other. We have to move on with the past and stop politicizing that white people are racist and black is slave and Latino’ and Asian as well.
What is one major issue that has been handled poorly and what would you have done differently?
Elected officials are off the needs of the communities, They are unteachable, never found in the office or anywhere. They are pushing wrong agenda for school confusion, for instance 4-years old arguing about pro-life as if they understand what it means and so on.
What experience (work, political or other) has prepared you to hold this office?
What I see every day, especially in the past three years, gas price, food price, school policy, foreign diplomacy, all we are going not so well. I want to join the colleague who may agree to help first their states and then the world. Homeless increasing in America, everyone is struggling, we need working economy, with trade, clean energy and so on. The world is watching us as a failure.

Why are you running for this office?
Congress needs a serious makeover with non-politicians who actually want to serve the American people and their constituents. I have no faith in the incumbent to act in our best interest because he is sold out to his party cronies to the tune of trillions of dollars in debt. I want to remove government interference from our daily lives and restore the power of the people.
What is the most important issue in this race and what specific plans do you have to address it?
Inflation is out of control and rapidly making life more difficult (and expensive!) for regular Americans. Neither the incumbent nor establishment politicians have any real plan to halt inflation, opting instead to viciously fuel it with constant spending. I will vote against every major spending bill I come across and will propose legislation to drastically reduce government regulation, and therefore government spending, because the lone source of inflation is the federal government. If federal spending is not reduced significantly, inflation will continue to ravage our country. We must stop mortgaging our future to finance failed government programs!
What is one major issue that has been handled poorly and what would you have done differently?
Wow, where to begin? A recent example is the Covid pandemic where governments at all levels shut down businesses, issued unconstitutional mandates, and wasted billions and trillions of dollars. I will never support forcing private businesses to close their doors nor mandating injections. I would have leveraged the federal government to instead provide safe, effective, and constitutional guidance then allowing private citizens and their state legislatures to determine the best solutions for them. The government should have educated instead of mandated, while preserving individual liberty.
What experience (work, political or other) has prepared you to hold this office?
I have read the Constitution, which is more than I can say for the majority of representatives in Congress. I have also read The Federalist Papers, and other works of far greater minds than my own like Milton Freeman and Thomas Sowell. I have a strong foundation of economic and constitutional principles, and am completely bereft of the desire to become a power-hungry career bureaucrat. These already qualify me to serve the role of congressional representative as the Founding Fathers intended.
