Home Care Partners
Home Care Partners (homecarepartners.org) provides in-home services to more than 1,000 low-income seniors and adults with disabilities, supports family caregivers and offers caregiver education. The organization also provides continuing education to home care aides and partners with the D.C. Department of Aging and Community Living to provide seniors with home modifications to reduce fall risks and barriers to mobility.

Jewish Council for the Aging
Jewish Council for the Aging (accessjca.org) builds caring connections, empowers independence and offers solutions to help older adults, their families and the wider community thrive. Programs of the JCA’s Heyman Interages Center have brought children and older adults together for 30 years, building bridges and shattering stereotypes.

Silver Spring Village
Silver Spring Village (silverspringvillage.org) harnesses the power of volunteerism to support older adults who wish to remain in their homes and communities of choice as they age, and reduces social isolation by keeping members physically, creatively and intellectually engaged. Trained volunteers provide more that 2,900 services annually—transportation, friendly visits and phone calls, in-home tasks, errands, decluttering, storm buddies, technology training and more. The organization’s annual calendar offers over 600 events that attract more than 5,500 attendees.

• $400 provides birthday cards and ice cream socials for older adults at risk of isolation.
• $1,000 underwrites a year of membership for four older adults with very low income.
• $2,500 provides professional training and support that unleashes more than $4,000 worth of volunteer labor.

• One time: Offer rides to appointments, be a technology coach or make friendly visits/calls.
