Manna Food Center
Manna Food Center distributes a quarter of a million pounds of food each month to families and organizations in Montgomery County to ensure that low-income families and senior citizens get enough to eat.
Since the economic downturn, Manna has seen a 51 percent increase in the number of people requesting assistance and has expanded its food distribution hours.

What a donation buys:
• $250 provides 1,000 families with a supply of fresh fruits and vegetables.
• $1,000 provides 50 families with emergency food that feeds a family for five days.
• $10,000 provides 2,000 elementary school children in the Smart Sack program with a backpack full of food for healthy meals over the weekend.
Volunteer opportunities: (SSL)
• One day: Adults (18 or older) can help with a variety of tasks in creating boxes of fresh food to be distributed daily.
• One day: Help collect food county-wide in food drives held at area grocery stores.
