Garrett Park
Between the towering trees (the town designated itself an arboretum in 1977) and the rows of two-story, gingerbread-trim Victorian homes, it doesn’t get much more charming than the tiny, historic town of Garrett Park. Even the town hall is a historic chapel. Located west of Kensington along the B&O Railroad line, Garrett Park has such traditions as an October pumpkin-carving, a winter holiday sing-along and an August crab feast, all of which make it easy for residents to form lasting connections with their neighbors.
