It’s baaack! Addie’s, the popular neighborhood restaurant that closed in 2013, is returning, albeit in new digs. Opened in 1995 in a quaint yellow house on Rockville Pike, Addie’s was the firstborn of the Black Restaurant Group’s brood, which now totals seven restaurants. The resurrected Addie’s won’t be quite the same, as its home will be in a spanking new office building at the Park Potomac development. But the restaurant group plans to serve some of the original menu items, including the famous “Addie’s Mussels,” and owner Jeff Black says he hopes to “bring back the spirit” of the place. It could be a while; no opening date has been set.
