Best Food Truck

Go Fish!

In July 2011, chef, caterer and L’Academie de Cuisine graduate Missy Carr launched one of the first upscale mobile eateries in Montgomery County with partner Greg Casten, founder of Profish, a longtime seafood wholesaler in the District.

A year and half later, their Go Fish! has been deemed by readers as the best food truck around, with ready-to-eat dishes such as crabcakes and “fish bowl” salads at lunch, and fresh seafood and ready-to-cook items at the dinner hour.

For the lunch crowd, the most popular item is Carr’s fish tacos ($9), pieces of grilled mahimahi rolled into flour tortillas with lime-cilantro slaw, chipotle cream and cheddar cheese.

Carr says customers notice and appreciate the freshness of the seafood. In fact, one client buying fresh fish for dinner made it a point to tell everyone in line: “This is the only salmon my kids will eat!”
