Finishing Touches Events
Owner Martha K. Bindeman of Bethesda says the guiding philosophy of Finishing Touches Events is simple: “I really listen to the clients. It’s not about me. So if they want to do something really unique, I’ll do it and make it fabulous.”
One of Bindeman’s proudest accomplishments was planning the opening ceremonies of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington’s Maccabi Games in 2004. She coordinated security, planned a parade and organized music for the festivities kicking off the weeklong, Olympic-style event involving teens competing in different sports.
Bindeman, 65, specializes in weddings, birthdays, bar/bat mitzvahs and private dinners, and works closely with clients to create custom affairs. Regular customer Lynn Morgan of Potomac says, “Marty was instrumental from start to finish” in planning her daughter Natalie’s bat mitzvah in January 2012.
