Liberty's Promise
Liberty’s Promise engages low-income, immigrant youths in civic life through an after-school leadership program that includes education, training and professional internships in government, business and nonprofits.
Liberty’s Promise serves 400 youths in the region annually, including 200 Montgomery County youths.

Serves: Metro region (five schools in Montgomery County)
What a donation buys:
• $250 covers the cost of meals for 30 youths at six program sessions.
• $1,000 pays for the Metro fares and other costs for 120 youths to tour key Washington, D.C., sites.
• $10,000 supports the salary for facilitators at four different county sites.
Volunteer opportunities:
• One day: Work one-on-one with a student to create a résumé and cover letter and work on other job skills.
