Volunteers & Mentors

KID Museum

Bethesda | Education
Date posted: 01-10-20

KID Museum brings powerful maker-based STEM, arts and cultural learning programs to children across our region, promoting creativity, persistence, resourcefulness, and collaboration — skills essential to a child’s success. There are many ways for you to get involved as a volunteer and help us achieve our goal of “every kid a maker.”

Additionally, we invite corporate volunteers to take part in our high-impact programming by becoming a mentor. A recent study by the Equality of Opportunity Project found that simply being exposed to an adult innovator as a child meant the difference for whether that child would grow up to be an innovator themselves. Be that inspiration for a child.

We are currently seeking volunteers and mentors for the following:

Innovation Exchange Mentors
Invent the Future Challenge Summit Judges

And we always welcome volunteers for the following:

  • Event support for FutureFest
  • High School Apprenticeship Program
  • Community hosted workshops & demonstrations
  • Pro bono volunteers (accounting, data entry, etc.)

If you are interested in volunteering, please email us at info@kid-museum.org.
