The Brand Guild is looking for interns to work with our Social Media team in our Washington, D.C. Office. We are a creative and passionate group of experts across Public Relations, Marketing, Events and Creative that builds strategies, creates experiences and influences audiences to win for our clients. Our internships provide invaluable hands-on experience in the field, a fantastic work environment, and can offer college credit. Our Social Media intern will work directly with the Social Media team on the creation of campaigns and concepts all the way through implementation. Please note: Internships are unpaid and require a minimum of 16 hours per week. Interns must have their own laptops and must be available to assist with events on evenings and weekends as needed.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the creation of content calendars, social media playbooks, roadmaps, and campaigns
  • Actively engaging with online communities, managing comments, seeking out excellent user-generated content, and finding opportunities to join relevant conversations
  • Updating social media reports and agendas with weekly/monthly/quarterly analytics
  • Proofing and scheduling posts across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Compiling research on new and existing clients and their competitive set
  • Auditing internal and client social channels and determining opportunities for improvement
  • Assembling trends in social media and content marketing in a weekly internal newsletter
  • Supporting Influencer outreach by researching, building lists and drafting emails for client partnerships and campaigns
  • Managing and organizing Dropbox folders for social clients and TBG events
  • Other tasks as required to support the goals of the Creative Team


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in current and emerging trends in social media and content marketing

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with photography and graphic design a plus
  • Available 16 hours/week minimum
