Abt Associates seeks a qualified Senior Director to support our Marketing and Communications team. The Senior Director is responsible for the development, establishment and maintenance of external integrated marketing strategies and programs aligned with the company’s strategic plan and designed to build visibility, awareness and understanding of Abt’s mission and brand.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Oversees the development of plans and executes projects and initiatives that support the short and long-term marketing strategy for Abt Associates
  • Develops and refines the company’s core messages to ensure consistency throughout all communications
  • Provides strategic and tactical support for the promotion of the brand. Coordinates with cross-functional teams in U.S. offices, the Australia and UK offices and field teams overseas to ensure the brand remains relevant to employees, clients and stakeholders and that all initiatives support the brand promise
  • Manages the sub-units/pillars of Marketing Communications including:
    • Creative Services which includes designers, desktop publishers, editors and video producers. This group offers a wide variety of services including: Creative Consulting; Visual Identity & Branding; Campaign & Product Development; Infographics & Data Visualization; E-Learning Tools & Training; Websites; Video Production; Desktop Publishing; and 508 Compliance
    • General Communications/Marketing Support which includes staff who focus on developing and implementing communications strategies for all technical areas of Abt
    • Digital Support which includes staff who manage the website as well as produce social media for all of Abt
    • Conference and Events which includes staff who provide support to all conferences at which Abt has a presence
    • Editorial Support which includes staff writing for all external channels including the website, collateral materials and media outreach
  • Ensures websites, annual and technical reports, proposals, publications and presentations are consistent with brand standards
  • Collaborates with various key stakeholders to form strategic partnerships and to understand specific needs and priorities and to coach on communication related issues
  • Establishes and monitors key department metrics to track, measure, and report
  • Continuously looks for ways to improve the company’s communications processes and recognizes critical communications opportunities to produce value
  • Coordinates department goals and activities and ensures alignment with the Company
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to junior level staff

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • 15+ years of experience OR the equivalent combination of education and experience
