Print/Digital Graphic Designer

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a talented print/digital graphic designer to join the growing IT team designing both print and digital products. This individual works both on a multitude of government projects as well as MSG corporate projects and proposals. While the ideal candidate will have a degree in graphic design, or related creative field, we are looking for a highly creative visual thinker with a strong portfolio and a passion for print and digital design.


  • Design for print and digital products
  • Turn requirements and abstract ideas into creative, innovative, and cohesive designs
  • Present creative design ideas displaying an understanding of digital and print design, layout, color theory, composition, and typography
  • Create products such as: design mockups logos, infographics, publications, brochures, e-newsletters, and presentations
  • Adhere to best practices and create style guides to match an established look-and-feel
  • Develop technical graphics for proposals
  • Estimate level of effort needed to complete tasks
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design
  • Online portfolio of proven, client-facing work
  • Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, and Acrobat Professional
  • Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems (majority of work on PC)
  • Experience with MS Office including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience designing for content management systems, especially Drupal and WordPress
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team of content specialists, project managers, and developers
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple priorities

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a government contracting environment preferred
  • Experience with CSS, HTML, and basic JavaScript is a plus
  • Understanding of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for design and layout
  • Knowledge of responsive design a plus
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, video editing, and motion graphics is a plus
  • Knowledge of Section 508 compliance and WCAG 2.0 standards a plus
