HJF is seeking a Marketing Assistant to support the Communications Department Located at the HJF Home office in Bethesda, MD. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to the Communications Department.

The selected individual will work 16-24 hours a week on a variety of projects in the Communications Department for one academic semester. We are looking for a hard worker with a desire to learn and constantly improve. This position is designed to be a professional work experience opportunity for a current, or recently graduated, student looking for experience in digital communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit and review copy for digital communication vehicles.
  • Work with HJF staff to monitor analytics of digital assets and provide feedback and suggestions to improve reach.
  • Research and report on current trends in digital communications.
  • Create digital assets for distribution on social media, websites, and email.
  • Organize data in shared file server.
  • Obtain and track material created for sharing on digital communication vehicles.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic knowledge of digital media such as social media and website content. Keen attention to detail. Ability to interact with a variety of scientific programs and departments. Dedicated work ethic and a drive to always improve.

Minimum Education: College student who has completed at least 30 credit hours of coursework.
