Position Summary

The employee will provide assistance to members of the Public Affairs department, comprised of the Government Relations, Public Policy, Grassroots, and PAC teams. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: monitoring Congressional hearings, tracking Federal, State, and/or local legislation and policy, assisting with PAC duties, administrative tasks as assigned, attending events on Capitol Hill and/or around Washington, D.C. as necessary, etc.


Essential Functions

  • Works as part of the Public Affairs team to accomplish Association goals
  • Supports all internal team members and departments following the Association mission and values while promoting Association culture
  • Completes research and summaries as assigned • Logistical support for the Public Affairs Department • Assist in organization and filing of documents
  • Respond to basic requests for information from chain partners

Other duties as assigned

  • Must be able to work as an integral part of the Public Affairs Team
  • Must be able to cope within a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be able to focus and deliver on multiple projects
  • Ability to accept changes and be flexible
  • Be on time and with a minimal amount of absence
  • Careful attention to detail with a creative mind possessing the ability to come up with innovative ideas
