The Digital Advertising Specialist plays an integral role in the fast-growing digital operations of both Bethesda and Arlington magazines. The ideal candidate will have several years’ experience managing online advertising campaigns and selling digital advertising.

Roles & Responsibilities

•Manage digital advertising operations, including trafficking banner ads and building and deploying sponsored emails

•Maintain digital advertising tracking calendar

•Compile and distribute digital advertising reports

•Be a resource for advertising account executives and digital advertising clients for data, analysis and creative feedback

•Sell digital advertising for and, and job posts for Job Board by Bethesda Magazine

•Stay current on the latest trends and opportunities in digital advertising

•When Web Producer is absent, produce daily and weekly newsletters


•Minimum 2 years’ experience:

-managing digital advertising campaigns

-creating and analyzing digital advertising reports

-selling digital advertising

•Proficiency with:

-Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign

-basic HTML/CSS

-an email program such as Mailchimp



•Attention to detail

•Superior organizational skills

•Ability to multi-task

•Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively

•Be skilled and comfortable making presentations
