What You'll Do Here:

As a member of the Corporate sales team, you will arrange, construct, and implement selling strategies for a defined product mix to attain established sales targets and goals within an assigned sales territory. Sales activities will be conducted in coordination with sales management. You will build connections with decision makers, represent and endorse assigned Cengage products to customers, and provide post-sales support as needed to drive sell-through, digital activations, and usage. In addition, you will advise Product and Marketing teams of marketing trends, ambitious developments, and editorial or product improvement opportunities in the field.

You will plan, organize, and prioritize sales strategies to achieve aggressive sales targets:

  • Develop and maintain a Territory Plan for businesses and associations in the assigned territory utilizing sales database tool
  • Generate realistic sales targets for both our installed business and ambitious takeaways
  • Build strategic plans for high value opportunities, including sales campaigns, custom project specifications and digital presentations
  • Develop itineraries and effectively utilize personnel and other resources, via Territory Planning process, to achieve sales objectives
  • Develop daily plans utilizing sales system to optimize sales calls
  • Develop relationships with Resellers and Corporate Partners to strategize sell-through and promotional campaigns and demonstrate understanding of retail business
  • Attend conferences/conventions and evaluate sales/editorial opportunities as appropriate
  • Use Consultative Selling Skills framework to build lasting relationships with key partners

  • Ability to work in a remote environment

Preferred:

  • You have BA or BS degree
  • You have at least two (2) years of successful sales experience
  • You have direct sales, marketing or editorial experience
  • You have experience working with digital sales products/applications

Ability to travel up to 25%
