Catering Account Executive

 

Top rated Metropolitan catering company seeks an experienced individual to work as an account executive.  The account executive is responsible for selling and servicing events. To include solicitation of new business, handling inquiries, marketing, and menu design along with the responsibility for detailing events and ensuring customer satisfaction.  Duties also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post event with pertinent clients, vendors and staff to ensure a high level of service.

This position works closely with clients & event planners in menu planning and servicing events as it relates to catering.   Candidate MUST have knowledge of food, event rentals, and event logistics and should be able to manage multiple events and clients at the same time.

Candidate must have 2- 3 years hospitality experience in the following areas:  catering, hotels, restaurants, country club or other related experience in the hospitality industry. KINDLY, DO NOT APPLY TO THIS JOB IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE!

Qualifications:

-A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

 

-Refined verbal and written communication skills

 

-Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, creative and organized

 

-Must be proficient in general computer knowledge including MS Word and Excel

 

-Must have two years catering/hospitality experience or completed Event Management trainee program

-Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and independently

-Ability to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
