Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Uphold and enforce established site safety regulations, and maintain a safe and clean project
  • Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and necessary materials
  • Cut or form materials based on measurements with the use of hand tools, machines, or power tools
  • Building or repairing cabinets, doors, frames, floors, or other wooden fixtures using woodworking equipment, hand tools, or power tools
  • Assemble and connect materials to frameworks or other materials using hand tools
  • Repair and/or replace damaged structures using hand tools
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge And Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Trade school or 4-year Carpenter Apprentice program (or equivalent) is preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial carpentry
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Pass a drug test and background check
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
  • Experience with framing, safety PPE and work, trim work, setting and adjusting windows, drywall, and finish work
  • Effective communication and dedication to integrity and customer service

Physical Demands

  • Perform tasks both indoors and outdoors on all areas and aspects of construction projects
  • Must be able to handle repetitive motion, have good dexterity, and alertness
  • Ability to position oneself under objects and in close spaces
  • Ascend ladders for heights of up to 60 feet and move across distances of 50 feet
  • Ability to move or transport equipment or materials of 80 lbs
