General Summary Of Position

This position serves as Manager of the daily operations of the clinical activities and front desk responsibilities for the Department of Orthopaedics. This position will report directly to the Department Assistant Administrator. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.


  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Must have five to seven years of administrative experience, preferably in an academic medical center setting.
  • Knowledge of PC, word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
  • Good working knowledge of administrative principles and practices, personnel, purchasing, and payroll procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of regulatory guidelines related to employment law and wage and hour practices.
