Accounting Assistant

HZ is seeking an Accounting Assistant. This Accounting Assistant will be responsible for daily accounting tasks such as AP/AR, reporting, journal entries, and ad hoc projects as necessary.


  • Book accounts payable invoices for payment
  • Setting up new accounts and entering invoices
  • Reviewing and responding to client inquiries regarding their accounts
  • Prepare draft invoices for review and create invoices for departments
  • Reconcile account discrepancies
  • Gathers data and assists with month end closing procedures
  • Processing employees expense reports


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Accounts payable/receivable experience
  • Familiarity with excel skills required
  • Must be highly organized and deadline-oriented
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
