Mary’s Center
Mary’s Center (maryscenter.org) provides health care, education and social services to approximately 60,000 people annually to build healthier and stronger communities. In response to COVID-19, Mary’s Center continues to work hard to prevent the spread of the virus by offering testing and vaccinations to community members throughout the D.C. region.

• $500 supplies 70 PPE kits, which include gowns, gloves, face masks and face shields, to administer COVID tests and vaccinations.

Mercy Health Clinic
Mercy Health Clinic (mercyhealthclinic.org) is a community-based health clinic that provides medical care, health education and medications—free of charge—to uninsured low-income residents of the county. In 2021, Mercy began providing health care, including vaccines and behavioral health services, to adolescents ages 13-17. The clinic’s medical services are delivered by volunteer physicians and a small staff of health professionals that reach over 2,500 patients annually.

• $250 provides cancer screenings, support and follow-up for five patients.
• $1,000 provides initial health screening, behavioral health assessment and required vaccines for 15 adolescents.
• $10,000 provides coordinated treatment, nutrition education and lifestyle education support for 150 patients managing diabetes, obesity and/or hypertension.
Volunteer opportunities:
• Ongoing: Volunteer to see patients (physicians/nurses licensed in Maryland); serve as an interpreter; or provide support for marketing/social media outreach.
Mobile Medical Care (MobileMed)
Mobile Medical Care (MobileMed) (mobilemedicalcare.org) provides high-quality primary health care for thousands of low-income, uninsured and underinsured Montgomery County residents every year. Staff and volunteer clinicians deliver linguistically and culturally sensitive care, integrated behavioral health and wraparound support. In response to COVID-19, MobileMed expanded its outreach, case management and remote patient monitoring, and implemented telehealth, including teletherapy, and vaccinations, working with community partners to address COVID vaccine equity.

Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, DC (ppmw.org) has served as a health care provider, educator and advocate to women, men and teens throughout the Washington, D.C., metro area for more than 80 years. The organization’s medical team provides a range of safe, reliable health care for all—including contraception and family planning, primary care, gender affirming (hormone therapy) care, behavioral health, telehealth services and more. PPMW also trains teens in reproductive health and STD/HIV, healthy relationships, healthy life-skills and prevention strategies.
