Identity Inc. offers 1,000 Latino youths and families culturally appropriate after-school and summer programs, gang prevention and intervention, youth leadership, health promotion, mental health services and other family-based initiatives.
The programs, offered in Spanish and English, use a Positive Youth Development model to help youths successfully transition into adulthood.

What a donation buys:
• $250 covers the cost of five applications for the GED test or provides two weeks of emergency food.
• $1,000 provides transportation to Student Service Learning activities for 100 low-income youths, or covers the cost of 20 hours of mental health counseling for an abused youth.
• $10,000 provides food and lodging for a three-day, leadership development retreat for 60 youths, or emergency relocation services for a minimum of three youths whose safety is at risk as they cut ties to their former gang.
Volunteer opportunities: (SSL)
• One day: Help with park and neighborhood clean-ups in the summer and on weekends all year.
• Weekly: Help in the administrative office. Volunteers are also needed to provide GED instruction two hours a week, year-round.
