Horizons Greater Washington (horizonsgreaterwashington.org) provides academic and recreational programs designed to empower economically disadvantaged students to realize their full potential. The program includes six weeks of summer programming with an emphasis on reading and STEAM, plus project-based workshops on select school-year Saturdays. The Horizons program seeks to strengthen the students’ academic performance and encourage a lifelong interest in learning. Students participate in the program from kindergarten through eighth grade.
