In this show, artists Jessica Beels, Ellen Kennedy, and Saaraliisa Ylitalo display the myriad ways to manipulate paper. Their distinctive styles and techniques tell the stories of their individual explorations and artistic processes. The thoughtful details and conceptual designs in their works are meditative, inviting viewers to experience the complexities of paper transformation. Each work evokes a deeper meaning; our interaction with paper has cross-cultural differences and significances, and this show meets at the intersection of acknowledging this everyday material and the limitless ways in which paper can be manipulated, transformed, and reimagined.
