Ages 6 – 12 yrs
Discover the magic and endless possibilities of clay! In this 8-week class, we’ll explore all sorts of fun hand-building methods that have been used since the dawn of civilization. We’ll transform mud with stamping, carving, burnishing and glazing techniques into functional and decorative treasures that can be enjoyed for years to come. Squish, wiggle, pound, poke, roll, stretch and pinch clay into ceramic mugs, animals, tiny houses and more. Creating with clay allows kids to expand their imagination, develop concentration, patience, and problem solving skills. Class fees includes instruction, all materials and firing in our studio. Immerse yourself in the world of art as we take you on a journey through your imagination! Learn how to paint, draw, build, sculpt, and CREATE in this class designed to introduce young artists to new materials and techniques in a fun and creative environment. Class meets for 8 sessions. Our NEW Art Immersion series takes you on a deep dive into the world of art. This spring it’s all about mixed media! Learn how to work with combinations of materials and techniques – plaster, paint, fabric, paper, cardboard, pencils, and more – to CREATE a variety of 2D and 3D projects. Class meets for 8 sessions. There is no class on April 25th.

When school is out for spring break, art is in at CREATE! Sign up for individual days or a full week! Each camp day features different art adventures…will it be cartooning? Collage? Painting? Join us to find out! Extended care is available.

For child and caregiver. Tap into your child’s magical sense of wonder. Music supports development of beginning language, listening, and motor skills. Singing, movement, and fun age-appropriate instruments help to develop cognitive abilities, awaken a sense of pitch and rhythm, and nurture an early love of music.
