Join us for a cultural celebration. Culture Fest is a family-friendly art exhibit for all to experience and inspire multicultural appreciation and understanding.

Westfield Montgomery will be transformed into a cultural destination offering guests and visitors an arts experience that celebrates the rich diversity of our past. Stamp your passport of selfies as you explore Europe’s fiestas and flavors, and travel through the fun and engaging vignettes that capture the scenes of a grand European tour.

While our beloved carousel is closed early this season for renovations (re-opening Spring 2020!), the Glen Echo Park Partnership is pleased to offer free activities over two weekends in August and September 2019 to help you have loads of fun at the Park! We hope that you will come to the Park to enjoy our regular children’s programming — like theater shows and the aquarium — and then participate in our FREE activities, like a climb wall, chalk artist, carousel bouncy house, chalk artist, and more. SOME ACTIVITIES REQUIRE PROOF OF PURCHASE from Adventure Theatre MTC, the Puppet Co., or Glen Echo Park Aquarium. Visit our website for more information!

In recognition and appreciation for their service, Summers Farm is offering free admission to active duty members and veterans of the United States Armed Forces and first responders (Firefighters, EMT’s, Police) on September 21 and 22. Immediate family members are admitted at half price. Summers Farm is open 10am-10pm on Saturdays and 10am-7pm on Sundays. On the weekend of September 21-22, Teachers (with a valid school ID) and 1 guest are admitted FREE to Summers Farm. Homeschool teachers must present identification or verification to gain free admission. Fall farm attractions include a gigantic 50th Anniversary NASA-themed cornfield maze, hay rides, pick-your-own pumpkins, pig races, farm animals, apple cider donuts, and more! What: Beloved by two-legged shoppers and their four-legged friends, Bethesda Row’s Wags n’ Whiskers, the region’s biggest and finest pet fest, returns for its 2nd year.

Where: Bethesda Row will transform Bethesda Avenue into a pet-lover’s haven, bringing together some of the area’s best vendors and amenities for animal lovers and their pets, filled with fun for all.

Details:
 Featuring free giveaways, special treats and gifts from more than 30 exhibitors, the festival will also include on-site rescue organizations and pet adoptions.
 Owners can capture the moment by having their pet’s photos taken or posing for a caricature drawing of themselves with their pet ($5 each). Children can enjoy glitter tattoos, balloon twisting and more family friendly activities.
 Live DJ music will set the mood for a day filled with fun, furry festivities.
 Dine with your feline al fresco at Bethesda Row’s restaurants or let your pup lap up water from water stations while you enjoy the specials at participating retailers throughout Bethesda Row.

Annual Children’s Day Festival @ Brookside Gardens

Join us for a fabulous family fun-day! The annual event is held each year to offer the community an active and engaged experience in Montgomery Parks. Focused on children’s games, crafts and education, you can explore Brookside Gardens and participate in numerous different activities throughout the day. With live music, food trucks and plenty of green space, you are sure to enjoy a full day of entertainment. This event is free.

Come celebrate the monarch butterfly’s inspiring metamorphosis and incredible journey. We’ll have exhibits, face painting, storytimes, crafts, movies, monarch tagging, and more!
