“Jesters” Workshop (Grades 4-6)
Give your child a great foundation in the arts this Fall in Washington Revels’ play-based, globally minded after-school workshops. “Revels Kids” develop an inclusive worldview by taking part in traditional songs, dances, games and stories from around the world.

In partnership with Montgomery Parks, the Bethesda Urban Partnership will host summer and fall events in downtown Bethesda’s parks. Yappy Hour and the “Pop Up Dog Park” will return on Thursday, September 19 from 6pm-8pm in Elm Street Park. The pop-up dog park will consist of a small dog and a large dog enclosure area for well-socialized dogs. Additionally, to complement the evening, Bethesda restaurants will serve food, wine and beer and entertainment will be provided.

What: Beloved by two-legged shoppers and their four-legged friends, Bethesda Row’s Wags n’ Whiskers, the region’s biggest and finest pet fest, returns for its 2nd year.
Where: Bethesda Row will transform Bethesda Avenue into a pet-lover’s haven, bringing together some of the area’s best vendors and amenities for animal lovers and their pets, filled with fun for all.
Featuring free giveaways, special treats and gifts from more than 30 exhibitors, the festival will also include on-site rescue organizations and pet adoptions.
Owners can capture the moment by having their pet’s photos taken or posing for a caricature drawing of themselves with their pet ($5 each). Children can enjoy glitter tattoos, balloon twisting and more family friendly activities.
Live DJ music will set the mood for a day filled with fun, furry festivities.
Dine with your feline al fresco at Bethesda Row’s restaurants or let your pup lap up water from water stations while you enjoy the specials at participating retailers throughout Bethesda Row.
Join us for a fabulous family fun-day! The annual event is held each year to offer the community an active and engaged experience in Montgomery Parks. Focused on children’s games, crafts and education, you can explore Brookside Gardens and participate in numerous different activities throughout the day. With live music, food trucks and plenty of green space, you are sure to enjoy a full day of entertainment. This event is free.
Come celebrate the monarch butterfly’s inspiring metamorphosis and incredible journey. We’ll have exhibits, face painting, storytimes, crafts, movies, monarch tagging, and more! All programs are free and first-come, first-served. No registration required.
