Eastern Montgomery Emergency Assistance Network  (301-879-2688) provides emergency rental, utility and prescription assistance to low-income families living in the eastern parts of Montgomery County.

EMEAN leverages about 900 volunteer hours annually from 14 member congregations to provide financial assistance to 356 families in crisis.

What a donation buys:
• $250 prevents utility turn-off for a family in need or provides prescription assistance to an individual without health insurance.
• $1,000 prevents utility cutoff for three families or prevents two families from being evicted.
• $10,000 helps up to 33 families in need of utility assistance, or up to 16 families in danger of eviction.
