Experience, expertise, and compassion are the hallmarks of the hand and upper extremity team at The Orthopaedic Center (TOC) division within the Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics. After leaving his residency at Yale and subsequent fellowship in Syracuse, Dr. Sunjay Berdia has provided the highest non-surgical and surgical care for the past 19 years. He uses cutting-edge surgical techniques such as the minimally invasive endoscopic carpal tunnel release. Additionally, his interests include upper extremity fractures, such as distal radius fractures, upper extremity arthritis, and rotator cuff tears.
Dr. Berdia believes in the benefits of team-based health care and that working closely with his certified hand therapists (CHT) at TOC is vital for enhancing long-term positive outcomes. The CHT’s have dedicated themselves to understanding the complexity of hand anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, in addition to utilizing progressive evidence based treatment procedures to achieve the best possible results. As a team, they strive to communicate and collaborate for the common goal of optimizing each patient’s recovery.
