Child Center and Adult Services Inc. provides mental health counseling to about 1,000 children, adults, couples and families throughout the county.
The CCAS neighborhood-based “office without walls” serves low-income, high-risk clients—many of whom are uninsured, including more than 450 pregnant women, new mothers and seniors annually in the county.

• $250 buys therapeutic toys to aid in counseling young children.
• $1,000 provides home-based mental health counseling to a poor, uninsured new mother with postpartum depression.
• $10,000 provides a year of mental health counseling to 40 uninsured children and adults through CCAS’s sliding fee scale.
Volunteer opportunities:
• One day or weekly: Help CCAS with technology, marketing or translation of materials into Spanish.
