CASA de Maryland helps Latino and low-income immigrants become self-sufficient through social services, employment placement, vocational training, English as a Second Language instruction and community organizing.
CASA serves 7,500 workers annually in three employment centers in the county.

What a donation buys:
• $250 supports CASA’s employment centers, which each place 50 workers in permanent jobs every year.
• $1,000 provides seven scholarships for low-income adults to take 13 weeks of English classes.
• $10,000 supports stipends for three AmeriCorps members to provide naturalization assistance to future citizens.
Volunteer opportunities:
• Weekly: Serve as a mentor to those studying for the citizenship exam.
