The Critters for the Cure Annual Kentlands 5K and fun run started at Fleet Feet in Gaithersburg and wound around the neighborhoods of the Kentlands on Saturday, June 9.

The sponsors for the event were Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Montgomery Animal Hospital, Genentech, Bark!, Costco and Whole Foods.

Participants came out in stride with their critters and had a chance to win a gift basket from Bark!

All the money raised from the event goes to help women in the Washington, D.C. region who are battling breast and any GYN-related cancer. CFTC provides financial assistance for medical and RX co-payments, transportation to treatment, wigs, prosthetics, groceries, utilities and even dog walkers.
