The East Ed 2013 Metro D.C. Middle School Diversity Leadership Conference took place Tuesday, January 29th at Sandy Spring Friends School. Over 700 middle school students from all over the D.C. area attended.
The East Education Middle School Diversity Leadership Conference is an annual program held every January for middle school students offered by Eastern Education Resource Collaborative (East Ed).
The mission of Eastern Education Resource Collaborative (East Ed) is to serve as a resource to schools and agencies and support the establishment of equitable, anti-bias, multicultural environments. Middle Schools students from around the region are invited to this program. East Ed programs, services, bulletins and Institutes speak to diversity, multicultural education and justice. They embrace a collaborative model that suggests the solutions to a community's problems exist within a dialogue between members of its community. They serve schools, colleges, community agencies and families.
