Meet the Bethesda Beat team

Anne Tallent, Editor of Bethesda Magazine and Bethesda Beat

Anne Tallent is the editor of Bethesda Magazine and Bethesda Beat.

She joined the publications in August 2021 after 16 years as an editor at The Baltimore Sun. There, she had been a copy editor, arts editor, the founding editor of its young-reader daily news publication and the features editor, responsible for entertainment and lifestyle coverage as well as a portfolio of magazines. As the director of content/news, she oversaw teams ranging from justice to sports and directed coverage of major breaking news events. Her leadership contributed to Sun coverage recognized by Maryland Delaware DC Press Association awards, the National Press Club, the National Headliner Awards and the Pulitzer Prize.

She attended the University of Maryland and graduated from Oklahoma State University.
