Bethesda Beat Membership FAQ

Why do you need my money?
Though we are fortunate to sell a fair amount of advertising, ad revenue does not nearly cover the cost of operating the Bethesda Beat newsroom.

As journalism has evolved in recent years, news organizations have had to change their business models. While we will continue to seek additional revenue streams including advertising, financial support from readers is essential to Bethesda Beat if it is to keep producing our current volume of quality journalism.

What do I get for my membership?
The most important thing you’ll receive is the satisfaction of supporting first-rate local journalism. You’ll also receive a behind-the-scenes newsletter and invitations to members-only events with our staff. Click here to read more about membership tiers and benefits.

I already get your content for free, so why would I pay?
