Museum Shop Holiday Market—Friday through Sunday—Mansion at Strathmore, North Bethesda
Strathmore’s holiday market will be open this weekend, and will feature gifts from area museum and cultural shops including National Building Museum, The Kennedy Center and The Phillips Collection. The market is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. There is a suggested donation of $10 to enter the market.
The New Chinese Acrobats—Friday night—The Music Center at Strathmore
The New Chinese Acrobats, a company affiliated with Cirque Eloize out of Montreal, performs at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Strathmore. Their performance will depict the evolution of Chinese acrobatics. Tickets range from $24 to $54.
Mary Poppins Jr.—Friday through Sunday—BlackRock Center for the Arts, Germantown
KAT Second Stage will put on four performances of the classic musical this weekend. Tickets range from $12 to $15.
Elf: The Musical—Friday through Sunday—Olney Theatre Center
Fans of Buddy the elf will enjoy Olney Theatre’s musical iteration of the hit movie starring Will Ferrell. There is limited seating available for the Friday night and Sunday matinee performances. There is an additional performance at 8 p.m. Saturday. Tickets start at $59.
Edgemoor Art and Fine Craft Show—Saturday—The Edgemoor Club, Bethesda
Jewelry, art, ceramics and more will be available for sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. For information on the individual artists, visit the show’s website.
Silver Spring Craft Market—Sunday—Denizens Brewing Co.
Local vendors will sell holiday gifts including pottery, jewelry and candles. The event runs 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Beer will be available for purchase.
