Scenes from the Blair High School Protest

The students walked up University Boulevard and were joined by other students at Northwood High School

Updated, 1:59 p.m.: What appeared to be several hundred Montgomery Blair High School students walked out of class Monday morning in protest over Donald Trump's election.

The students first spread out to the football field and then made their way to University Boulevard. One student told Bethesda Beat the students were marching to Northwood High School, a little over a mile and half north of Blair High School in Silver Spring.

Police could be seen escorting the students:

Around 11:05 a.m., the Blair students reportedly made it to Northwood and were joined by students from that Silver Spring school:

The county has closed University Boulevard in the area of the protest:

Students chant "this is what Democracy looks like!" as they begin congregating at Westfield Wheaton mall:

Police say the student protesters are leaving Westfield Wheaton.
