‘Black Lives Matter’ incident at Churchill High sparks call for investigation

Students wrote “Black Lives Matter” on a Winston Churchill High School classroom whiteboard at a Dec. 7 meeting of the school’s Republican club. Richard Jurgena, who chairs the education committee of the Montgomery County Republican Central Committee, called for a “complete, rapid and nonpartisan” investigation. The incident follows another last month, when students taped a “whites only” sign to a bathroom door at at the school last month to see how other students would react. [Washington Post]
