Bethesda Beat Publishes Voters’ Guide for Rockville, Gaithersburg Elections

A compilation of candidates and their positions on local issues

| Published:

Bethesda Beat has created a candidate guide for next month’s municipal elections in Rockville and Gaithersburg.

The guide includes information about the candidates for mayor and city council seats.

Both cities will have elections on Nov. 5.

Rockville’s election, for the first time, is being done through mail ballots. Residents were sent ballots in the mail, and can send them back or deliver them in person. They also may vote in person at City Hall on Election Day.

Gaithersburg’s election is in person on Election Day, and also includes an early-voting period on Oct. 26 and 27 and absentee ballots.

Two people are running for mayor in Rockville and 13 people are running for four council seats. Their information is posted in the candidate guide.

In Gaithersburg, three council incumbents are running for re-election and three people are certified as write-in candidates.
