A woman was injured after she was shot at a home in Clarksburg early Monday morning, Montgomery County said.

Police posted on Twitter that the shooting happened at a home in the 22800 block of Frederick Road in Clarksburg just before 2:40 a.m. Monday.

The woman was taken to a hospital with injuries considered life-threatening, police said.

A man is in custody, police said.

Police said the shooting was “domestic-related,” but did not provide additional details.

Sgt. Rebecca Innocenti, a police spokeswoman, declined to provide additional information Monday morning. The shooting is under investigation.
