Montgomery County police have identified a woman and a man who were killed in separate crashes Monday night in Wheaton and Derwood, respectively.

A red 2019 Honda Passport hit 52-year-old Nwe Nwe Ni of Silver Spring, near the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and Ferrara Avenue just before 9 p.m. on Monday, police said in a press release on Wednesday.

Ni was found lying in the eastbound lanes of Veirs Mill Road and died from her injuries, police said. The Honda driver stayed at the scene.

Jeffrey Loberiza Chatterjie, 28, of Derwood, was riding a 2016 Kawasaki Nina motorcycle north on Crabbs Branch Road around 10:15 p.m. It crashed into a 2018 Lexus RX350 that was traveling south and tried to turn left onto Indian Hills Drive, police said.

Chatterjie was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Lexus driver was taken to a hospital for their injuries.

Police had released details about the two crashes on Tuesday, but did not initially identify either victim.
