One victim had injuries considered life threatening

Two people were injured in a fall from a home balcony in Clarksburg Monday morning. One patient was taken to a hospital by helicopter, while the other was taken by ambulance.

Two adults were seriously injured in a fall from a residential balcony in Clarksburg Monday morning, according to a Montgomery County Fire & Rescue official.

The two people fell from a balcony at a home in the 12200 block of Cypress Spring Road, Fire & Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer posted on Twitter. One was flown by helicopter to a hospital and the other was taken by ambulance, he wrote.

One of the patients had injuries that are considered life threatening, and the other had injuries that are considered priority 2 — the second-most serious on a scale of 1 to 3.

No other details were available Monday morning.
