Montgomery County police have charged a teenage boy with sexually assaulting a woman inside her Rockville home on Thursday.

Cristian Vasquez, 15, of Rockville, went into the woman’s home on First Street through an unlocked door around 11 p.m. on Thursday, police said in a press release on Saturday. After the woman put away groceries, she walked upstairs and Vasquez, who was wearing a mask, grabbed her from behind.

Vasquez pulled the woman into a bedroom at knifepoint and covered her head before sexually assaulting her, police said. When Vasquez left, the woman drove away and called police.

Detectives recovered fingerprints from the woman’s home, which they used to identify Vasquez as the suspect, police said.

Vasquez and the victim did not know each other before the assault, Sgt. Rebecca Innocenti told Bethesda Beat on Saturday.

Vasquez was arrested on a warrant Friday and charged as an adult with first-degree rape, first-degree assault and home invasion, police said.
