Silver Spring Sisters Found Safe, Police Report

The girls, aged 11 and 16, went missing Saturday

Detectives on Friday morning reported the Silver Spring sisters who went missing Saturday have been found and are safe and unharmed.

The parents of Kandyce and Karmen Matos, ages 11 and 16, last saw them at about 11 p.m. Saturday at their home on Hunters Gate Court, according to Montgomery County police. The girls’ parents went to their bedroom at about 11 a.m. the following day to check on them, but the sisters were gone.

Investigators suspected the sisters were together and said they’d often visit Westfield Wheaton Mall, the Bel Pre area, Washington, D.C., and Prince George’s County.

No information was provided about where or how the girls were found.
