Rockville police are looking for a raccoon that they say bit a child and a dog in two separate incidents on Monday morning.

On Monday morning, a dog “was attacked & bitten” near College Gardens Park on College Parkway, according to a Twitter post from the police department.

At about 11 a.m. a child was bitten in Kinship Park, on North Washington Street, about 1.5 miles away.

In its Twitter post, the Rockville Police Department wrote that it is “actively searching for the raccoon” and if anyone encounters a raccoon “acting aggressively,” they should leave the scene and call police.
